This guide walks you through the basics of programming your Yeastar IP PBX via the web interface. You’ll need a Yeastar device (e.g., S20, S50, S100) and access to its web-based admin portal.

How to Program a Yeastar IP PBX System

Things You’ll Need on How to Program a Yeastar IP PBX System

  • A Yeastar IP PBX system (e.g., Yeastar S50)
  • A PC or laptop connected to the same network
  • Access to the Yeastar Web GUI (usually http://<PBX_IP>:8088)

Step 1: Log in to the Admin Interface

Open a web browser and enter the IP address of your Yeastar device (e.g., http://192.168.0.100:8088).
Use your admin username and password. The default is usually:

  • Username: admin
  • Password: password

⚠️ Change your password immediately after logging in for the first time.


Step 2: Set Up Extensions

Go to PBX → Extensions.
Click Add and choose the extension type (e.g., SIP, IAX).
Fill in the user’s name, extension number, and password.
Click Save and Apply Changes.


Step 3: Configure Trunks

To connect to your SIP provider or analog lines:

  • Navigate to PBX → Trunks
  • Click Add Trunk (choose between SIP, PSTN, GSM, etc.)
  • Enter the trunk name, number, authentication credentials
  • Save and apply changes

You can now make and receive calls via your chosen carrier.


Step 4: Set Up Inbound Routes

To direct incoming calls:

  • Go to PBX → Inbound Call Control → Inbound Routes
  • Click Add
  • Choose the trunk, DID number, and destination (e.g., Extension, IVR, Ring Group)
  • Click Save

This tells your PBX how to handle incoming calls.


Step 5: Set Up Outbound Routes

Outbound routes control how calls are dialed out of your system.

  • Navigate to PBX → Outbound Call Control → Outbound Routes
  • Click Add
  • Set route name and dial patterns (e.g., 9. to dial external numbers with prefix 9)
  • Select the extension group and trunk
  • Save and apply changes

Step 6: Configure Voicemail

Under PBX → Voice Features → Voicemail, enable voicemail per extension.
Each user can access voicemail via their phone or by dialing *2.

You can customize greetings and notification emails per extension.

  • Go to PBX → Call Features → IVR
  • Click Add IVR
  • Upload an audio file or record one

  • Go to System → Backup and Restore
  • Click Backup
  • Download and store safely
