PROPOSAL FOR THE PROVISION OF VOICE TECHNICAL PROPOSAL

The purpose of this document is to respond to the RFP from Customer for the provision of IP Voice Services and structured cabling solution. Through this proposal, Almiria wishes to provide comprehensive information about the installation, technical design solution for the required services that will show deployment capabilities.

Further to this, ALMIRIA wishes to be considered among the top telecommunication contractor pre-qualified to participate in future RFP’s for the provision of Door Access control, s. The intention is to develop considerable levels of understanding and a close partnership between CUSTOMER and ALMIRIA for the benefit of mutual business/service delivery interest.

2.1        VOICE

Almiria consider using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) which is a methodology and group of technologies for the delivery of voice communication via Panasonic IP PBX KX-NS500 and  IP phones. This will give each employee an extension number, the ability to conference, transfer and dial other colleagues. This smart hybrid PBX is a cost-effective legacy communication system for companies with up to 250 employees, that can be flexibly configured and expanded according to the specific requirements of a business. The KX-NS500 has advanced features and starts from 6 analogue trunks and 18 extensions, up to 288 extensions with Expansion Units. For added flexibility and productivity, you can also take advantage of its built-in applications, such as a call centre solution, mobile solution and voice mail system to achieve greater working efficiency throughout your business and increased customer satisfaction. Almiria wishes to us KX-NT 511 IP phone which features HD Voice,  1-Line LCD Display,  3 Flexible CO Buttons,  Full Duplex Speakerphone  and  2 Ethernet Port for basic connection and KX-NT553 Executive phone for Management. To activate IP features on NS500, IP licenses for Hard Phones are required.

2.2        Structured Cable System Design


The structured cabling system proposed for Customer will allow for smoother network simpler network troubleshooting and allow them to experience less network problems at the Physical layer. Design Description: Server room, for the purpose of this project, will act as the Main Distribution Frame and the telecommunications closet. Here the network service providers
UTP will terminate. From here wires will be distributed to a patch panel, which will allow for insertion of patch cables. The patch panel will be connected to the switch using Cat 6 Siemon/Giganet/Nexus cable and RJ45  connectors. The patch panel and the switch will be located on a 42U Data cabinet. Cat 6 cable will be used to connect the switch to the wall mounted boxes face plates which will contain the Cat 6 jacks, to allow for connection in each users workstation. Cat 6 cable will be run through the horizontal metal trunking already installed and will not exceed the 100m limit, to each user’s workstation from the server room. The wall
mounts will contain a face plate with 2 ports to allow for each users handset and PC to be connected to the network

A DSP card is a digital signal processor card with DSP resources that can be used for VoIP calls, Conferences, the Unified Messaging feature (Voice-Mail and Auto Attendant), and the DISA/OGM feature. The DSP cards are compliant with ITU-T G.729A and G.711 codec methods.
Depending on the amount of your DSP resource needs, DSP S, DSP M, or DSP L cards can be installed. The number of resources provided by each type of DSP card is as follows:
